What is your role on the CHILD team?
I’m a Clinical Research Project Manager at SickKids in Toronto. I coordinate CHILD visits and oversee day-to-day operations at the Toronto site—basically making sure everything runs smoothly and that families have a great experience!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Getting to meet and work with so many wonderful families. Every participant is different, and I learn something new from each one. It’s such a privilege to work with such bright, curious, and fun people, and I love that no two days ever look the same!
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of work?
Anything creative! Painting, drawing, henna, pottery—most recently, jewelery design. I really enjoy having an outlet where I can let my creative side take over.
I’ve been learning about gemstones and the padparascha sapphire has become a favourite! It’s known for looking like a sunset. They are extremely rare and extremely beautiful!
What is your favourite way to unwind?
Spending time with my loved ones, going on walks with my dog, cooking a nice meal, or discovering new restaurants. I’m happiest with good company and great food.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Japan! It’s been on my bucket list for a while. As a sushi lover, I feel I have to experience sushi in Japan at least once. I’d also love to explore the culture, scenery, cafés, and the little hidden gems.
Do you have a favourite podcast or YouTube channel?
I really enjoy Huberman Lab. Dr. Andrew Huberman covers interesting and unique science topics in a way that makes learning fun and accessible.
Eshwari became CHILD’s Toronto Site Coordinator in July 2022. Subsequently, she became Clinical Research Project Manager at SickKids where she coordinates other studies in addition to CHILD.
